I've become blinded
to my own reflection...
Clear beauty miraged
by my own self-deception.

Distorted
My mirror must be defective. It's flimsy glass must be full of errors and deformations... Innocently creating ripples and alterations. That must be the reason why the girl that everyone sees... Is nowhere close to the same girl that my mirror shows to me.
Slow-Motion
Fears of the future keep crossing my mind... So I ponder every way that I may slow the time.
Last Call
They asked me whether or not she could still hear... So I held my phone patiently against a dying woman's ear...
Fading
I close my eyes
and try to picture
everything that
happened in those
moments...
But time has
already begun to
blur the details...
Dutifully and
without condolence.
Pretend
Sometimes I like to
remember the times with you
I know we never had...
Pages
As I read my book you cross my mind... Causing the words to blur as the story becomes insignificant. And soon I'm left lost in the pages... Unable to focus on anything but you.
Rearview
I can see you fading away
in my rearview mirror...
With dead leaves
and empty dreams
swirling at your feet.
No End
Sometimes it seems as if the past is still present. I can see that everything is over... But it feels like nothing has ended.
That time…
There's one moment in my mind of one lasting encounter... As I remember that time I sat on your counter...
