I can understand that. There was a time that a man said a number of things to me that made me hopeful. In the end, he wasn’t serious. Maybe even he was lying. But, thank God he did because I was going through a rough time and the hope got me through it even if it turned out to be false hope.

Exactly. Sometimes we need those words to get us though periods even if they aren’t real. False hope it’s a good description of that. I just don’t want to know it wasn’t real you know?
